My client is currently seeking a UI Lead to join their team and help staff and build UI from scratch.  This candidate will be responsible for helping staff and lead 2 to 3 front end developers.  Client needs “captain of the team” who will be very hands on and leading by example and giving direction when needed.  Candidate will architect, design and help develop a high performance UI for real time trading system.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • FLCD of web systems and applications from idea to design to implementation to release.
  • Design, development, analysis, research and planning of systems, applications and API’s.
  • Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

Required Experience:

  • 7+ years of overall development experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Javascript

  • Proficient understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Understanding of server side CSS pre-processing platforms such as LESS and SASS

My client, a SaaS and mobile product company, is currently looking for a VP of Engineering to join their team. They are looking for someone to help keep best practices in place and implement new policies as they continue to grow and build out their team. This person will be responsible for managing the development teams across multiple offices while helping to maintain their culture, efficiency, and drive as they continue to bring on new projects.

The ideal candidate will come from an engineering background with open source technology. Their teams use Ruby and JavaScript but that experience is not required. You will be experienced in managing large groups across multiple teams in an agile environment and have a history of improving agility in these engineering teams. In addition, you know what it takes to work with a high volume of requests and have worked in a start-up and/or big data environment with knowledge of continuous integration and delivery.

Your daily responsibilities will consist mostly of people management while remaining hands on by owning architecture, design, execution, quality assurance and working with product teams on delivery of their software as a service and mobile products. You will report directly to the CTO, with 2-5 direct reports and about 50 total reports. There will be a focus on process leadership for these product teams while working with them to improve and standardize their development, testing, and release processes.
