My client is currently seeking a UI Lead to join their team and help staff and build UI from scratch.  This candidate will be responsible for helping staff and lead 2 to 3 front end developers.  Client needs “captain of the team” who will be very hands on and leading by example and giving direction when needed.  Candidate will architect, design and help develop a high performance UI for real time trading system.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • FLCD of web systems and applications from idea to design to implementation to release.
  • Design, development, analysis, research and planning of systems, applications and API’s.
  • Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

Required Experience:

  • 7+ years of overall development experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Javascript
  • Experience with React.JS and/or Angular.JS or any other Javascript Frameworks
  • Proficient understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Understanding of server side CSS pre-processing platforms such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
  • Strong understanding of cross browser compatibility and how to resolve surrounding issues
  • BS in CS or equivalent experience
  • Ability and interest in leading a group

This person will be responsible for managing the development teams across multiple offices while helping to maintain their culture, efficiency, and drive as they continue to bring on new projects.

The ideal candidate will come from an engineering background with open source technology. Their teams use Ruby and JavaScript but that experience is not required.
