My client is a leader in the security space and is expanding it’s Core Engineering team here in Manhattan.  They are currently seeking an Engineering Manager as they grow the organization.

Qualified candidates should have 5-7+ years of overall industry experience including 2+ years of experience managing teams of Software Engineers.  You have strong full-stack Javascript knowledge and experience working with Node.JS and React.JS.  Any additional experience building data analytics and large, scalable systems is a plus.  The Engineering Manager will lead and manage an existing team of 3 and will be charged with hiring two more Engineers this year.  You will be responsible for architecture, design, code reviews, mentoring, etc.  Additionally, you will establish engineering best practices and procedures that are replicable and scalable.

Application Security Engineer

My client is a growing data analytics software company in Manhattan and they are currently looking for an Application Security Engineer to join their team.  The App Sec Engineer will be responsible for incident and vulnerability detection as well as overall application and infrastructure security.

Qualified candidates will have 2-4 years of professional experience working in the application security space and must be familiar with industry-standard system, network and security monitoring tools (Nessus).  You know current security principals, protocols, standards, etc. and have a passion and curiosity for new technology.  You understand Linux and OOP and have experience with Linux, Python, Node.JS, AWS, etc.  OWASP, CEH and a general knowledge of open-source web application security programming are ideal.  BSCS or equivalent is required, advanced degrees are a plus.

Overall Purpose of role

  • Designing, implementing, testing and deploying automated risk management systems

Person Specification
