Windows AND Linux Admin Needed
Our client is actively looking to hire a strong Windows 70% Linux 30% Admin to support there business. Company is located downtown in the financial district and they are actively looking to hire ASAP. Apply now for immediate confidential consideration.
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in an enterprise infrastructure engineering role with primary ownership of the design, implementation, and deployment of hybrid environments (Linux & Windows).
Desired Skills & Experience
Familiarity with TCP/IP networking protocols is a must.
Experience in Unix/Linux Systems Administration with strong Linux/Unix troubleshooting and command line skills.
Experience with Windows server based technologies and implementation is a must.
Understanding of change management and problem management practices.
Expert level experience installing, configuring, and managing multiple software applications (e.g., OS, virus software, performance monitoring applications, etc.) within an enterprise server environment.
Knowledge of VMWare is a plus. Knowledge of and experience with Linux based open source technologies is a plus. Knowledge of kernel bypass network stacks is a plus.
Strong verbal communication skills. Superior written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines.
Must have demonstrated problem solving skills. Must be able to work independently. Organized, independent and self-motivated.
The successful candidate will have the ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and troubleshoot problems proactively. The incumbent will have a solid understanding of, and operational experience with operating system internals, including paging and swapping, inter-process communication, devices and device drivers, file systems, etc.
Client can pay up to 140k on the base + bonus.
