Senior Web Developer for Mobile Web

Description

We are a top 20 digital media company, seeks outstanding developers to join our dynamic, expanding our Digital Media division.

· The Senior Frontend Developer will have 5 years of experience with web development.

· Expertise in cross-browser implementations – HTML, CSS, Javascript.

· Proven ability and expertise in Javascript framework implementations(jQuery, Prototype, etc.), JSON, AJAX and working with the DOM.

· Familiarity and demonstrable experience with HTML5 and CSS3 is required and techniques for progressive enhancement for adapting the experience between mobile and tablet browsers as well as standard desktop browsers..

Experience with video player integrations and video technologies is a plus.

· A solid understanding of web application design and architecture principles is required including integrating existing RESTFUL web services and working with backend developers to describe new Web Services. A familiarity with relational database structures and principles, and how web applications interact with relational data is desired.

· Experience working within an Agile development environment is highly desirable and working closely and collaboratively with Backend Engineers and UX Designers.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative environment is a necessity
