Director of Dev Ops / Cloud Engineering

DevOps & Cloud Engineering Leaders, isn’t it time for something new? One of my clients is looking for a Director of Cloud Engineering to help them modernize, revamp and scale their cloud-based infrastructure as well as staff and manage a team of Dev Ops Engineers.

This will start as a somewhat hands-on role performing Dev Ops tasks as well as evaluating the infrastructure and making recommendations/changes to the stack to improve scalability and performance. You’ll then hire a team to make it all happen. Candidates must be comfortable with and competent when communicating with executive staff, etc.

Tech stack today is:

High-traffic, fault-tolerant, highly-available 24/7/365 system
AWS – EC2, ELB, AutoScaling Groups, IAM, S3, RDS, Elastic cache, Lambda
CI/CD
Docker and Kubernetes

Up to ~$225K plus performance-based bonus. Company is based in NYC but this role can be remote flexible.
