Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a full-time Java Developer with at least 5 years of web development experience. We are executing an ambitious roadmap of exciting product developments, and are seeking people with entrepreneurial enthusiasm, a creative mind, and a desire to build something innovative. You will use technology to bring discovery to our Enterprise E-commerce site online. You will be responsible for design, development and testing in Java.

The selected Java Developer will report to the Head Of Development and play a role in the analysis, design, implementation, and support of a series of applications for our online presence. She/he will be chiefly responsible for ongoing software development for our product line line, interfacing with users and management in the planning of major functionality, analyzing business functional requirements to determine the scope of work, evaluating available application alternatives to support our e-commerce needs, and managing resource planning/constraints. Discretion and independent judgment are required on a daily basis

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
Minimum 2 years of agile web development experience
Significant experience in Java
Experience with Spring, Hibernate, and J2EE
Extensive object-oriented experience
MongoDB, Solr experience a major plus
Database design and optimization with MySQL
CSS, Javascript, HTML
Unit testing
Good communication skills
Track record of delivering high quality software on time
