PHP/Drupal Developer

We are a large publishing firm currently seeking a Drupal/PHP Developer for our New York office. This position is responsible for developing our external enterprise websites. This is a hands-on software development position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities -Applications development on core back-end and consumer facing websites and applications -Technical expert proposing and delivering innovative solutions -Working directly with developers, project managers, systems analysts and database administrators -Immersion with business leaders to cooperatively build our strategic direction

Experience and Skills Required – 1 + years Drupal experience including themes and module development -Significant PHP/mySQL development -Basic Skills should include CSS, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, Word Press, Ajax, and (including jQuery.) -At least three o five years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing websites -Experience documenting usability, capacity, performance, reliability, design, implementation, interface, and physical requirements -Must have strong experience in database platforms (Oracle, MySql), and operating systems -Must be able to identify “good-fit” open-source technologies, and demonstrate their adaptation effectively -Creative thinking and problem solving is a must, as is a strong desire to help drive our organization’s success -Social media platforms and working with user-generated content is highly desirable -A passion for technology
